Whilst I love all of the seasons for very different reasons, there is something about Spring that makes me smile. The lighter evenings, the blossom appearing on the trees, and if we are lucky the sun making an appearance. After gaining inspiration from other bloggers, I like to use the seasons as a way of styling my home.  Of course we all style our home in the Winter season by putting up the Christmas tree. Now that Winter has gone, I am looking forward to filling our home with beautiful Spring colours, and I have picked out some of the items I have my eye on.

Living room mood boardColourful lanterns from Ikea – £2 each

Love print from Ikea – £5

Mustard cushion from Sainsburys – £14

Tub Chair and Footstool from Fishpools –  £179

Yankee Candle Spring Set from Asda – £6

Flowers from Sainsburys – £6

I love the colourful lanterns from Ikea. They are actually garden lanterns, but I already have 2 of them brightening up our dining room. I plan to add a few more to the fireplace in our living room.  And how gorgeous is the mustard cushion from Sainsburys. It would really compliment the tub chair which is from Fishpools.

And who can resist a bunch of beautiful Spring flowers and a Yankee Candle burning away in the evening. Just a few ideas on how I plan on adding touches of Spring to our living room.

6 Thoughts on “Adding touches of Spring to our living room

  1. I keep seeing those lanterns in Ikea but I want to yellow ones and they never have them in! They are SUCH a bargain though I will have to go back and have a look, you’re right, they would look just as lovely in the home as they would in the garden xx

Thanks Sarah. The cushion is lovely, and funnily enough I have just picked up a very similar one from TK Maxx for the playroom x

  3. Loooovvveeee those lanterns, Tracey. Wouldn’t they be perfect for the garden once the weather warms up? I really like tub chairs, too. They have such a great shape.

The lanterns are just a bargain for only £2….. it would be rude not to buy one in each colour. Infact buy 2 of each colour…. 1 for the garden and 1 for the house xx
