As always I was sad to say goodbye to the summer holidays. We have had a fantastic time, and ended the holidays with a break away at Forest Holidays in Nottinghamshire. This is what else we have been up to over the past fortnight.

Read

The Ikea catalogue popped through my letterbox this week, so it would have been rude not to have stuck the kettle on and read it with a cuppa. We had an Ikea delivery yesterday, and husband is currently in flat pack hell building Katie’s new bed. I am staying well out of the way, and my job for the day is tea lady.

Watched

I went to the cinema on Bank Holiday Monday and watched Bad Moms with my best friend. Seriously, if you have not watched this film grab your girlfriends and GO. It stars Mila Kunis (girl crush) and is hilarious from start to finish. I am definitely team Bad Moms.

Made

Move along, nothing to see in the Made section this week.

Heard

The sound of parents up and down the country cheering for the return of school. Whilst I have loved our summer holidays, after 7 and a half weeks of the kids being off, I was craving the routine of life. Katie is about to embark on her final year at primary school (sob), and here is the obligatory back to school photo.

Back to school

Wore

It has been a week of wearing my swimming costume. I have got straight back into my routine of swimming at David Lloyd, and we also spent last weekend more or less in a hot tub. I won’t subject you to a picture of me in a costume, so here is our hot tub and our Forest Holidays duck.

And Lastly

I celebrated my 3rd blog birthday this week. Thank you to my husband who always gives me the time to blog. The kids for not moaning too much when I stop every 5 seconds to take a photo. And after 3 years they all finally know the blogger rule. Never start eating a meal in a restaurant, until it has been photographed several times! Thanks guys x

Thank you Sam, 3 years have gone so quickly. After today I don’t think I want to see a piece of Ikea furniture for the next month lol. Though daughter has a fab new bed and son has a new sofa bed and unit. Gotta love Ikea x

  2. Three years Tracey, where does the time go! Glad you’ve had a lovely summer. x

Bad Moms is the funniest film I have seen in a long time. If you lived nearer Tas I would come along with you and watch it again. You can’t beat chilling out in a hot tub at the end of the summer holidays x

  4. Happy blog birthday! Am impressed that your family are so supportive. After five years my blog is still a total mystery to my family and blogging is always does when they’re not around!
Your forest holiday sounds like a lovely end to the holidays.

Aw thanks Sarah. The teen is more and more reluctant to be featured now, which I guess is expected. But yes I can’t complain as they are really supportive towards my little space on the internet. Forest Holidays certainly was the best end to the summer holidays. Can’t believe it was only 2 weeks ago today (seems like a lifetime ago) x

  5. I too am team Bad Moms, awesome film
