Little Loves – Nights away, Cheshire Life and People Watching

Phew that week seemed to go by quickly. I was a little sad to say goodbye to January, as the first month of the year is always lovely for us. But hello to February, Pancake and Valentines Day and of course half term. This past week has been pretty normal with work, school runs and ferrying kids to their clubs. But we did have a relaxing night away last weekend. And thank you to the wonderful staff at Carden Park Hotel for an upgrade to a Suite which was amazing.

The Cheshire Life magazine was in our hotel room, and I just had to browse through it with a coffee. These types of magazines are great for escaping real life for half an hour. Ok I may live in Cheshire, but don’t quite think our budget would stretch to a 7 million pound house. And how dreamy is this dressing room

Cheshire Life

Watched

I have failed yet again with this section, so I will have to go with people watching. We stayed at Carden Park Hotel on Saturday which is in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. After having an amazing meal in the evening, we retired to the hotel bar and soaked up the ambiance. The hotel was really busy, and as we were too full to hold a conversation we sat and people watched.

Heard

On the Sunday we sat in the reception area and we could hear the beautiful tones of somebody playing the piano. The sound was coming from the hotels main restaurant, and we made a vow to return in the future for Sunday Lunch.  Enjoying the music, whilst having a coffee opposite these beautiful flowers, was definitely a chilled out moment for me.

Made

It has been quite a busy week in the evenings so we have had a few ‘freezer teas’. I did manage to make a gorgeous Slimming World Tuna and Pasta bake, but I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture.

Wore

It was nice to get dressed up on Saturday evening. I chose to wear my blue top and trousers, and my gorgeous Pandora was on my wrist. Excuse the slightly drunken expression on my face.

And lastly

Husband and daughter are off to Blackpool Pleasure Beach tomorrow along with 10,000 other cubs. Daughter is SO excited as she is finally tall enough to go on The Big One. It would be nice to do something with the teen tomorrow, even if it is just going for lunch somewhere. Have a great week x

    • Wow that must have been hard work staying at Carden Park for a whole week, and presumably on work expenses lol. Have a great time when you go. I agree that’s it in a gorgeous part of the world, surrounded by all that lush countryside x
