It’s been 2 weeks since I last joined in with Little Loves, and last weekend was all about the little lady heading off to Scout Camp in Bangor. This meant that I got to enjoy some much needed time with the husband, and what better way than enjoying Sunday lunch together followed by a walk.

Sunday Lunch

Runcorn BridgeRead

I started this a few weeks ago, and feels a little strange reading a Christmas book in February.

It must have been the mistletoe

Whilst Katie was at Scout camp we introduced the teen to The Hangover films. I LOVE the films, which I suspect has something to do with Bradley Cooper looking mighty fine in them. The teen thought the films were hilarious, and it was nice spending time with him whilst his sister was away.

Taking full advantage of Katie being away, I ‘made’ her bedroom nice and tidy again. She has the box bedroom, and as she is such a hoarder her room was looking really cluttered. I might have been tidying her bedroom on a Saturday night (with a few gins to keep me going) but it was SO good for the soul.

Lots of tales from Scout camp. I love that the kids are independent enough to go off and have their own adventures without us. There were stories of a 5 hour hike, lunch by a waterfall, archery lessons, climbing wall and of course late nights and early starts. Thank you to all the wonderful leaders who give up their time and make amazing memories for the kids.

Have you heard of Everything 5 pound ? No I hadn’t either until I read about it on Money Saving Expert. If you hadn’t guessed, it sells everything for a fiver. Clothes, shoes and home products are discontinued stock, and it’s pot luck which store the item has come from. I decided to ‘test the water’ and order a few tops, and I was really impressed with the quality. Certainly worth a fiver each.

And Lastly

It’s the last day of term today, and the kids are looking forward to breaking up for a week. The past few weeks have been full of tests, mock SATS and work experience so they deserve some down time. We are off to Bath on Monday and we can’t wait as it will be our first visit to the historic city. Have a great week x

Ah I love the Little Loves linky each week Donna. It’s so nice to look back at the previous week and pick out the little things which have made us happy. She loved scout camp and came home tired and filthy. Hope you join in soon as I love reading your blog x

  13. What a stunning bedroom I love it. B has that bed and shelf above it too. It’s a great one for storage isn’t it and that extra pull out bed too. Food looks delicious making me hungry. Hope you have been enjoying half term as much as we have. A nice chilled out time together. #littleloves

I remember chatting to you about the bed, and it is ideal in her room as it is so small. The storage underneath is a god send. We have loved half term and been on a little trip to Bath which has been wonderful x

  14. The Scout Camp sounds fantastic, my girls can’t wait to go and do that kind of thing.
It always feels better when you have a tidy and a clear out, and oh man, it’s so much easier to do when the kids aren’t there, isn’t it? xx

    • Tracey Williams on February 19, 2017 at 5:15 pm said:

The clear out was SO good for the soul, and yes I am glad I did it when Katie was away. Otherwise I couldn’t have thrown away all the little bits of paper she hoards lol x

  15. Your girls room is gorgeous and well done for the tidy. I think my mum gave up with mine when I was younger, just started closing the door to hide the mess! xx

It felt so good when it was all tidy, and miraculously she has kept it fairly tidy. Though I might well have to adopt your mums approach one day x
