Finding luxury cuisine at Ikos Olivia

Over the past few years when we have travelled abroad, we have opted to stay all inclusive. Having a hungry teenager and a tween who loves ice cream, it is the perfect option for us.  Ikos Olivia in Greece goes above and beyond the all inclusive experience with their Ikos Olivia restaurants, and offers ‘infinite lifestyle’.

The hotel promises mouth watering dishes from Asia, Italy, France and of course Greece, most created by Michelin starred chefs. Dining out is a huge part of any holiday we go on, and we were all looking forward to trying out the different restaurants. We managed to dine in all of them, plus we used the Dine Out service that Ikos Olivia offer.

We visited Provence located in the main hotel on our first night, and from the moment we set foot inside the door we received the Ikos welcome. My husband was handed the extensive Ikos Olivia wine list, and we decided to start our holiday with several glasses of Prosecco.  The menu is not overly huge but to be honest I prefer it that way. Both of the children found dishes they wanted to try, though Katie was disappointed they didn’t have snails on the menu. Apparently she has been dying to try them for ages.

For breakfast and lunch they have a buffet selection, and we really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere when we went in the day. And a restaurant is always going to get my approval if they serve Bucks Fizz from the Ikos Olivia drinks menu for breakfast, and Prosecco at lunch.

Fusco Restaurant at Ikos Olivia (Now named Fresco)

We were lucky to experience the Italian restaurant at Ikos Olivia not once but twice. The beachfront location is breathtaking, and both evenings we sat and watched the most amazing Greek sunsets The food is out of this world which was the reason we returned for a second evening. Not only that but the service was incredible. I wish I could remember our server’s name as she was so friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for her. Fusco (now named Fresco) is only open in the evening, and I would recommend booking as soon as you start your holiday. All restaurant reservations can be made with the hotel reception at Ikos Olivia, or on the Ikos app.

Ouzo Restaurant at Ikos Olivia

Ouzo is open all day and we went there for lunch and dinner. For lunch you have an amazing choice of hot and cold dishes, and the children never struggled to find something they liked.  With its beachfront location it really is the best spot for lunch.

We booked Ouzo at Ikos Olivia for our final night, and as we sat there enjoying fine food, drink and service, we knew we had found the perfect place for our family holidays.

Anaya Restaurant at Ikos Olivia

Anaya Ikos Olivia

Anaya offers dishes from China, Thailand, India and more and we were really looking forward to dining here. Anaya is located next to the main hotel, and is a spacious and elegant looking restaurant, open in the evening. This was probably the restaurant where the children struggled the most with the menu, in the end opting for chicken and noodles. I couldn’t fault the food in Anaya.

Flavors Buffet Restaurant at Ikos Olivia

Flavors is the main buffet restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Understandably this is the busiest of the restaurants as you don’t need to book. There is a huge choice in Flavors, and the presentation of the food is immaculate. The Ikos Olivia dessert station is quite simply a thing of beauty.

Ikos Olivia room service menu

As you can see we managed to visit all of the restaurants at Ikos Olivia during our week long stay. We also sampled the 24 hour room service that Ikos Olivia provide….. yes 24 HOURS.  We had breakfast delivered to our room one morning, and WOW it was the most delicious looking breakfast I have ever seen. And is there a better way to eat burgers than on your terrace overlooking the private pool. You can find the Ikos Olivia room service menu in your room or suite.

And did I mention the drinks. Premium cocktails, the huge range of whisky and gin, soft drinks for the kids, Ikos Olivia has it all. I have never visited a hotel before with such an extensive cocktail and drinks menu. And the husband and I certainly made it our mission to try as many drinks as we could.

Eating out has always been an important part of our holiday, even more so now the kids are older. It is the chance for us to get together again, relax and enjoy delicious food. Ikos Olivia gave the kids the chance to step away from their usual burgers and chicken nuggets, and try new dishes. And that’s what holidays are all about, exploring new foods and soaking up the atmosphere. The food at Ikos Olivia is certainly amazing and you will never go hungry.

    • Yes I think sometimes the food can make or break a holiday or day out. You could be staying in the most amazing place, but if the food was rubbish it would really spoil it for us x
