Where an earth did the last 3 weeks go. If I am honest I have been consumed with the emotion of Katie leaving primary school. In the past 3 weeks we have had the Year 6 trip to London, leavers assembly, leavers party, and then the final goodbye to primary school after 11 amazing years. It has certainly been an end of an era in the Williams’ house.

Today I will pick my little lady up from primary school for the very last time. The final school run EVER at 3.15pm, after doing it for 11 years.
11 years of doing the school run in the wind, rain, snow, sleet, hail and occasionally the sun.
11 years of getting my children to school on time (apart from that time I was REALLY late and Katie got a late mark). Oh and that time my husband went to work with the house keys in his pocket and we were locked in.

On Friday evening I drove past my son’s high school and was overcome with emotion, blinking away the tears as I drove my daughter back from her dance class. The reason for this sudden and unexpected outburst was prom night, an American tradition that we have adopted over here. Driving home it hit me that I will be the one standing outside the school in just 2 years. The mum who will no doubt be saying ‘just one more picture’ as our son rolls his eyes.
