Katie has just celebrated 6 years of being involved with Beavers, Cubs and now Scouts. Half of her life collecting badges, attending weekly meetings, wearing her uniform with pride, and camping. Camps are a huge part of Katie’s scouting journey, from the 1 night stays in comfortable lodges when she was a Beaver, to longer stays under canvas now she is a Scout.

Apologies for the lateness of this post as I got struck down with a migraine on Friday. All my plans went out of the window, and I ended up sleeping for most of the morning. Anyway let’s focus on the positives, which is what Little Loves is all about.
It took me less than a fortnight to read The Couple Next Door (which is pretty good going for me), and what a gripping read. To be honest I didn’t have a clue what the book was about prior to starting it, and I would never have guessed the storyline. It’s been 2 weeks since I last joined in with Little Loves, and last weekend was all about the little lady heading off to Scout Camp in Bangor. This meant that I got to enjoy some much needed time with the husband, and what better way than enjoying Sunday lunch together followed by a walk.
I started this a few weeks ago, and feels a little strange reading a Christmas book in February.
Whilst Katie was at Scout camp we introduced the teen to The Hangover films. I LOVE the films, which I suspect has something to do with Bradley Cooper looking mighty fine in them.… Continue reading
