Phew that week seemed to go by quickly. I was a little sad to say goodbye to January, as the first month of the year is always lovely for us. But hello to February, Pancake and Valentines Day and of course half term. This past week has been pretty normal with work, school runs and ferrying kids to their clubs. But we did have a relaxing night away last weekend. And thank you to the wonderful staff at Carden Park Hotel for an upgrade to a Suite which was amazing.
The Cheshire Life magazine was in our hotel room, and I just had to browse through it with a coffee. … Continue reading

It’s the last day of January, and it seems that the majority of people on social media are glad to see the back of the first month of the year. January is usually filled with grey and rainy days, our bank balances are feeling the pinch after Christmas, and our clothes are feeling tighter. But I am in the minority. I absolutely LOVE January, and I always feel sad when the month comes to an end. It’s one of my favourite months for 2 reasons.
It’s my birthday right in the middle of January. Even though I have just turned 42, I still act like a small child and get really excited for my birthday.… Continue reading
Well this week has been all about putting all the birthday gifts and toys away, and having a little sort out. I started with our bedroom and managed a huge bag for charity plus some bits for eBaying. I love a good declutter session, and plan to go through the house in the coming weeks. I am a woman on a mission.
I am still reading my Sweet Temptation book ( I WILL finish it this week). I have also been having a read through of the new Slimming World magazine. The gorgeous looking Salted Caramel and Coffee Cheesecake certainly caught my eye.… Continue reading
It seems each year cruising becomes more and more popular. Long gone are the days where the cruise ships would be full of wealthy middle aged couples. Families are being drawn to cruising, and it got me thinking, would a holiday on the high seas suit us as a family ?
Many cruise ships have fantastic kids clubs that run from morning to night time. We all need a little me time on holiday, and I am sure the kids would love the clubs.
Cruise ships have amazing pools, some even with slides and wave pools. How cool does that sound.… Continue reading
Having just returned from our 13th trip to Center Parcs, I wanted to share parts of our holiday that work really well for us. One of those is hiring a Cabana, which are located in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. We have hired a Cabana at Whinfell for the past 3 years, and it has really enhanced the time we have spent in the swimming complex.
We booked our Cabana via the online booking system. There are different times available and generally the use of the Cabana is for 3 hours. The price depends on whether you book the Cabana for four, six or eight people, and is more expensive during the day.… Continue reading
I am cheating a little with having 2 Sunday photos this week. Both of this pictures were taken last Sunday at Centerparcs when husband and I went for a gorgeous snowy walk in the forest.

Back in December I was given the opportunity to review some products from Party Bags and Supplies. With daughter’s birthday being in January it was perfect timing. I was amazed at the huge range on offer on their website. They had everything from Mr Men to Star Wars, and offered a good selection for both boys and girls. In the end I opted for the Monster High pack which I knew our soon to be 10 year old would love.
Delivery was really quick which is great if you need the items in a hurry. It was well packaged and the box was hidden away from my daughter until January.… Continue reading
I totally failed last week in sharing our Little Loves, but I promise I will try harder. This past week has been a whirl of birthdays and our first break away for 2016. I celebrated turning 42 (eek) on Friday, and went out for a lovely lunch with my mum. As soon as the kids were home from school we were on the M6 heading up to Centerparcs. This was our 13th visit to Whinfell and it really seems like our second home. After celebrating my birthday on the Friday, it was daughters turn on the Monday as she turned 10.… Continue reading
