This weekend sees the Festive Flower and Food Show returning to Blackpool for its second year. Running from the 9th to the 11th November 2017 at Winter Gardens in the heart of Blackpool. Organised by The National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS), their aim is to take the art of flower arranging and place it firmly into the 21st century.


And this event is not just for adults, as kids will have their own workshops to attend on the Saturday. If you have not purchased your tickets yet, here are 8 reasons why you need to visit the show which opens tomorrow.

Floral Exhibits

The Festive Flower and Food Show will see the Winter gardens transform with over 300 individual floral exhibits. Created by talented flower arrangers, designers and florists.

Floral Workshops

Want to create your own amazing bouquet that you can take home ? Make sure you book in for one of the many floral workshops that will be on during the 3 day show. You can book by calling 0844 856 1111 for the twice daily shows which run from 11am till 1pm and 2pm till 4pm.

Children’s Workshops

If bringing the kids the children’s classes are a must. ‘Going Crackers’ is a class run by Alison Mount which will help your children to create innovative seasonal designs. And ‘Frosty the Snowman’ with Julia Knight will see Frosty come to life, incorporating lots of crafting and flower arranging. Both workshops are free and can be booked by calling 0844 856 1111. Taste Theatre and Zone

Head to the taste zone where you could meet some of the UK’s most exciting food producers. Get the chance to watch them using the finest ingredients and then sample their wares. In the theatre is where you will find live demonstrations from Peter Sidwell, Nisha Katona and Ed Baines. Sharing tips for the perfect turkey and how to create delicious canapés, the Taste theatre is not to be missed.

Floral Catwalk

Also not to be missed is the Floral Catwalk Show which features three talented designers. They will be showcasing their collections made from fresh and dried floral materials. Catch the show on Thursday.

Afternoon Tea

Need the perfect excuse to rest those legs and refuel. Head to the Renaissance Room where they will be providing sumptuous afternoon tea and culinary delights.

Design Theatre

The design theatre will be hosting presentations over the course of the 3 day show. Catch the very best in floral demonstrators.


With over 50 retail stalls and stands selling everything from jewellery, delicious food and of course flowers.

Blackpool Flower and Food Show

Tickets can be purchased online and are £18.50 (children under 15 when accompanied by an adult are free) or book a 3 day show ticket for £40.

Opening times are 9.30am till 6pm each day.

  1. This really seems like a great show to visit, Tracy. Seems like a perfect fit for me as I am a foodie and a passionate lover of flowers. Is it an annual event?
