February Goals – What I achieved this month

I think we can all agree that February was a ‘blink and miss it’ kind of a month, and I honestly don’t know where the time went. I know it’s the shortest month, but it felt like it passed in a complete blur, and I think I overestimated some of my goals. Whilst it may have gone in a flash, February was a pretty good month. We went away for a midweek break to review the beautiful Sandybrook Park, and we were blessed with a few spring-like days.

February Goals - What I achieved

So how did I do with my goals this month

Personal Goals

No spend on candles and beauty products… I have ENOUGH – YES I managed this. Totally high fiving myself !!!

Start wearing my Fitbit – I have been wearing my Fitbit nearly everyday. I very rarely hit 10,000 daily steps, and this is something I want to work on during March. I currently have a Fitbit Zip though after reading this overview here I am thinking of updating to the Fitbit Inspire 2. Still, I have to work on that step goal first!

Read at least 3 books – I managed to read 2 books during February, Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty, and The Birthday Girl by Sue Fortin.

Learn to put my phone down more – Whilst I have been trying to in the evenings, I need to learn to put my phone down more during the day. Those usage reports that Apple send you are brutal !!!

Drink more water – Yes, have been really trying, but there is always scope to drink more.

Blogging goals

Buy my ticket for the Blog on conference in May – YES. I am really excited to go back to Blog on, and it will be my third time going to the conference.

Pitch to 10 brands or PR companies – I managed to pitch to 8 brands, and 6 of them have been successful, so I am really pleased with that.

Say yes to more things and push myself out of my comfort zone – I have had the opportunity to do this once this month, and met up with a small group of bloggers and business women for a ‘Working Wednesday’. We shared ideas, we chatted, we laughed, we did some work, and I came home full of positivity. I can’t wait to do it all again this Wednesday.

SEO and update 10 old blog posts – Totally failed as I only updated 3 posts. However, I updated my post on booking a beach hut in Lytham St Annes, and a lovely lady messaged me and said she had booked one after reading my review. So I am really glad I updated that particular post.

Update my blog where necessary – Still need to tackle this.

House goals

Make an appointment for our oven to be professionally cleaned – Totally forgot about this, so will re-add it to my March goals.

Contribute to the food bank (this has been re-added from January) – Yes, I have got a small hamper of food I have collected during February. I just need to take it to the local food bank.

Deep clean the kitchen (another goal that has been re-added from January) – Still failing on this one.

Paint part of the landing wall which needs touching up – Another fail.

Sort out the boxes in the dining room – I managed to sort 3 out of the 4 boxes out. We have a Kallax unit in our dining room, and the canvas boxes have just been used as a dumping ground. They are organised and looking pretty again.

How was February for you ?

  1. It sounds like a pretty successful month to me Tracey well done ! My home goals often get shunted to the next month, I wish I could find that elusive work/life balance. Best of luck with your goals for March x

  2. Haha, I can see the deep clean and oven cleaning still on the list for Christmas, and rightly so you’ve been busy doing other things. Well done on the pitching. Roll on working wednesday.

    • I think you could be right, though I have been decluttering some of the kitchen cupboards. I really need to book the oven clean in, and yes I was really pleased with the pitching last month x

    • Ah thank you Sarah, I love writing down my goals and sharing them as it makes me more accountable. Urgh, is there anything that is actually good for us nowadays, and I too drink the flavoured sparkling water. SEO is one of my least favourite jobs, but I determined to stick with it and hopefully see results x
