Over the past few months there has been one thing that has dominated our lives, and if you also have a child in year 11, you will know exactly what I am talking about. Yes, GCSEs. The exams finally started for my son yesterday, and I am pretty sure that teens all over the country will be wishing the next few weeks away.
Talk of GCSEs start the minute your child hits year 11, and thankfully my teen has been revising since the start of September. He has dragged himself into school at weekends for revision classes, stayed late after school, and forfeited a few games of Fortnite in favour of putting his head in a book.
I have no doubt that all his hard work will pay off on the 23rd August, GCSE results day, but prior to this I wanted to celebrate all the hard work he has put into his revision, over the past few months. And what better way to celebrate than with cake.
bakerdays very kindly sent Morgan a ‘Good Luck’ cake, and who knew that a cake could arrive in perfect condition through the post. bakerdays specialise in personalised cakes for all occasions, and their letterbox gift cakes are the perfect present for sending to a loved one.
The cakes come in a variety of different flavours such as traditional sponge, lemon drizzle cake, and gluten wheat free sponge. However, there was only one flavour that stood out and was perfect for my teen, rich chocolate chip.
The cake popped through our letterbox a few days ago, and I was eager to see whether it had made the journey in one piece. I needn’t have worried as it arrived in perfect condition, and we couldn’t wait to try a piece after Sunday lunch. The cake was delicious, and of course the biggest slice went to Morgan. It was the perfect way to celebrate the start of GCSEs.
bakerdays has also kindly offered a Letterbox cake to one of my readers, worth £14.99. Please fill in the Rafflecopter form below, and the very best of luck. If you can’t wait for the competition to end, there is also a 15% discount code that expires on the 30th June 2018 – WILLIAMSWORLD15
