I knew this would happen, booking a holiday 11 months before you travel does NOT make you more organised. With just over 3 weeks until our holiday to Mexico, the realisation has dawned on me that I need to buy things, book things, and pack things.

Getting holiday ready with Debenhams

Now I love shopping on the internet, but hate waiting in for deliveries, so I tend to use a store’s click and collect service if they have one. One of my favourite shops at the moment is Debenhams, as they have a wide choice of plus size clothes, as well as offering click and collect to my local store at Cheshire Oaks. Seeing as though the husband is out for a run, the teen is at karate, and the tween is away on scout camp, I have just poured a large gin and about to hit the Debenhams website. I thought I would share some holiday items I have ordered, ready to be collected in a few days.

Dorothy Perkins DressDebenhams stock many brands including Dorothy Perkins, and I love the tropical print on this dress. I already have a few similar dresses I got direct from the Dorothy Perkins website, and I know this will be just as comfy as the other dresses I have. I plan to wear it for dinner in the evenings. And at only £20 it is a brilliant price.

Manteray DressAnother brand that Debenhams stock is Manteray, which to be honest I have never tried before, but one of my best friends had a Manteray dress for her recent holiday to Paris and it looked gorgeous on. I plan to wear this for going for lunch, as I think it’s the ideal dress you can slip on over your swimsuit. Plus it has pockets, and we all know we love a dress with good old pockets. Another really good priced dress at £31.20, which is currently reduced from £39.Nude Mules

And of course you can’t go on holiday without a new pair of shoes (or several). Again, these are from Dorothy Perkins on the Debenhams website, and what an absolute bargain at only £6.40. They will be perfect for daytime wear, and seeing as though I have spent less than £7 on shoes, I deserve to get a few more pairs.

Kimono

I couldn’t resist popping this Kimono into my basket as it was less than a tenner. It was £22 and has just been reduced to £9,60 so it would be rude not to order one. Perfect for using as a cover up around the pool and on the beach.

It’s worth keeping an eye out for bargains and the latest deals at this time of year, and I am pretty sure I will be back on the Debenhams website to order some more holiday dresses and shoes. Just don’t tell the husband.
