I love January because I celebrate my birthday this month, and what’s not to love when you are guaranteed at least one day filled with cake and presents. Plus we have more celebrations as Katie’s birthday is three days after mine. This year I was especially looking forward to it, as for us December had been pretty much a write off with various colds, coughs and blocked ears.
I was ready to celebrate turning 46. I had a lovely week planned of catching up with friends, a few meals with the family, and on my birthday itself a much needed … Continue reading
January goals – What I achieved this month
The end of January, and I must admit I am always sad saying goodbye to the first month of the year. January is one of my favourite months, and this year has been no exception. We have celebrated 2 birthdays, I have been on a lovely spa day with my husband, enjoyed meals out with friends and family, and had lots of fun this month.
Though the downside is, I have not completed as many goals as I wanted to. I forgot how busy January is for us, though I am … Continue reading
The week of birthdays and celebrating
This past week is always one of the busiest and craziest of the year, with not one but two birthdays in the same week. I celebrated turning 45 on Tuesday, and Katie officially became a teenager on Friday. It has been a whirlwind of a week full of birthdays and celebrating, and of course filled with cake and laughter. We celebrate not one, but two birthdays in our house in January. I celebrated mine on ‘Blue Monday’ which is meant to be the most depressing day of the year. Well not when you are celebrating your birthday with a trip to … Continue reading
Phew what a week that was. When you have 2 birthdays to celebrate in one week, it is always going to be filled with lots of fun. What I didn’t factor in was the husband getting the flu. Not even man flu, but the real deal which has seen him signed off work for over a week. It has been a real mixture of a week, but plenty of positives and birthday celebrations.
I got this book for my birthday and can’t wait to start reading it. This year I have set myself a challenge to push my boundaries … Continue reading
I usually post about my Little Loves once a fortnight, but this week has been a whirl of fun and crazy times. We celebrated 2 birthdays in the Williams’ house, and this week has been filled with fun, presents and of course birthday cake.
I got lots of lovely books for my birthday, but typically have not managed to pick one up yet. I think I will start with the wonderful Hurrah for Gin, as I fancy giggling myself to sleep every night. I did read LOTS of birthday cards, and when your daughter’s birthday is 3 days after … Continue reading
