I didn’t get around to writing up my Little Loves post at the end of October, and to be honest life was still in limbo with my health worries. BUT I finally have a diagnosis now, and once I find out the root cause of my breathlessness, I can hopefully start to recover and get my life back on track. To be honest the past few months have been a blur of hospital appointments and worry, but I did get to enjoy six wonderful days in the Greek sunshine which was amazing.
This is the third T.M.Logan book I … Continue reading
You know the saying “better late than never” well this is how I feel about my Little Loves post. I nearly didn’t bother, as September has been a really up and down month. I am still suffering with the after effects of pneumonia, and after seeing my consultant this week, more in-depth tests and scans are needed. It’s really hard being breathless every time you move, and life seems to be in limbo at the moment. But I am going to dig deep and try to see some positives.
I knew I wanted to read something light hearted in … Continue reading
I totally failed in writing my Little Loves post for the month of July, but one word sums up why I didn’t get around to it…. Pneumonia. I have been poorly for around two months now, and spent a full week in hospital during August. But I’m going to try really hard not to dwell on that, and instead focus on the positives that came out of the summer holidays.
I am still keeping up with my target of reading two books a month, though I actually thought I would double it in August with being in hospital. But … Continue reading
Half term and hot tubs
Well that’s a wrap on our February half term, and the kids are back at school and 6th form tomorrow. It seems strange that the majority of the UK are just beginning their half term break, as we are going back. But the upside to a different half term is going away, and it being really quiet. If you follow me on social media, you will know that we were invited to spend 4 nights at Sandybrook Luxury Lodges in the Peak District. I have written a full review of our stay here, and below … Continue reading
How have I not written a Little Loves post since July….. JULY. I have no excuse but to say that life has got in the way, and I know the whole reason behind Little Loves is to focus on the positives. So tonight I have taken a deep breath, switched on my laptop, and here are my Little Loves that have kept me smiling throughout the month of October.
I am loving switching off in the evenings and losing myself in a book. I am probably averaging one book a week, and I am alternating between psychological thrillers, … Continue reading
I had all good intentions of joining in with Little Loves last week, but when it came to it I just couldn’t engage my brain and write. It has been a challenging few weeks for me, yet I know that everything will work out completely fine in the end. This is why I love Little Loves, focusing on the little things that have made me smile over the past few weeks.
I have read not one, but two books over the past few weeks. I had all good intentions of reading the Matt Haig book that everybody seems to … Continue reading
Apologies for the lateness of this post as I got struck down with a migraine on Friday. All my plans went out of the window, and I ended up sleeping for most of the morning. Anyway let’s focus on the positives, which is what Little Loves is all about.
It took me less than a fortnight to read The Couple Next Door (which is pretty good going for me), and what a gripping read. To be honest I didn’t have a clue what the book was about prior to starting it, and I would never have guessed the storyline. … Continue reading
Phew what a week that was. When you have 2 birthdays to celebrate in one week, it is always going to be filled with lots of fun. What I didn’t factor in was the husband getting the flu. Not even man flu, but the real deal which has seen him signed off work for over a week. It has been a real mixture of a week, but plenty of positives and birthday celebrations.
I got this book for my birthday and can’t wait to start reading it. This year I have set myself a challenge to push my boundaries … Continue reading
