Children are only young once, and as parents who love to travel, we always wanted to give Morgan and Katie as many unique experiences of the world as possible. Taking children on lots of holidays and day trips is a great way to open their minds, and expand their knowledge of other places and cultures, giving them a real zest for life.
Of course in order for you all to get the most out of your holidays, you need to choose destinations and activities that you can all enjoy. With that in mind, here are some holiday ideas that kids, as well as adults will enjoy.… Continue reading
As we have visited Walt Disney World (WDW) in Florida 3 times, I often get asked which Disney Park is our favourite. Florida has 4 resort parks, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and each park offers different experiences. Here are our favourite parks.
Katie was 7 the last time we visited WDW, and it will come as no surprise that her favourite park is the Magic Kingdom. Where else can you go inside Cinderella’s Castle and be transformed into a princess before meeting Sleeping Beauty.

We have visited Orlando in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Yes our ‘once in a lifetime trip’ back in 2011 saw us visiting the sunshine state 3 times in 25 months. I thought I would share some of the activities, restaurants and places to stay when visiting Orlando.

5 years ago on the 1st April 2011, we took our ‘once in a lifetime’ trip to Florida to visit Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. This trip seems to be at the forefront of my mind as I keep thinking ‘this time 5 years ago’ thanks to my timehop app. Plus I know 3 people who are currently in Florida at the moment. I have talked here about our past trips, yes I did say TRIPS. After our ‘once in a lifetime’ holiday we went back the following year, and then again the year after. Our first trip gave us so many amazing memories, and I wanted to share with you 10 pictures that make me smile.… Continue reading

2011 – Walt Disney World
2011 – We went on our ‘once in a lifetime’ trip in April 2011. We chose that year as we were celebrating 10 years of marriage and the hubby was turning 40. We went for 2 weeks and stayed in a huge villa, along with my mum, step dad, step sister and her family. This was the first time I had been to America, and I fell in love with Orlando and of course Disney. … Continue reading
I LOVE holidays to the point where I think I am bordering on becoming a holiday addict. I suppose there are worse things to be addicted to… though I am sure the credit card would not agree.
Its funny as when I met my husband we only went on 2 holidays before we had the children. One of them was to Benidorm for a week (I dont actually remember much about this holiday… All inclusive… lots of vodka… say no more) and the other was to Mexico for our Honeymoon.
We went on our first holiday when our first born was 9 months old.… Continue reading
