One day my monthly Little Loves post will actually be posted on the last day of the month, not 10 days after. I’ve not been on my laptop much over the past 2 weeks, as I have been suffering terribly with Sciatica. I could barely move some days, and meant I had to cancel things which I hate doing. Thankfully it seems to have disappeared, and normal service of housework, ironing and blogging can resume.

A midweek catch up
I realised the other day that I haven’t done a catch up post for a few weeks, so today is the day that I sit down, open my laptop, and have a think about what we have been up to the past few weeks. It’s hard to think back to those few days of Spring we were blessed with, when the wind is currently blowing a gale outside. On the upside we are on serious countdown to our holiday, and 4 weeks today I will be sipping a Pina Colada in Greece.

Two weeks into the school holidays and so far so good. Though I must admit as the kids are getting older they make their own entertainment, and I am a glorified taxi driver and bank clerk. But I can’t complain as I am currently sat in Starbucks, with an overpriced drink and my laptop.

I think I am slowly emerging from the Christmas bubble and getting back to normal life. I am one of those strange people who love January, as we celebrate not one but two birthdays this month. But before the birthday celebrations we need to take our decorations down this weekend. Christmas has been brilliant this year, and even though the kids are 15 and nearly 12, the magic and excitement is there but just in a different way.
