Little Loves – Proud Mum Moments, Cocktails and Blog On

It’s been 2 weeks since I joined in with the ‘Little Loves’ linky, and to be honest I nearly didn’t write this post. In a week that has been filled with such awful sadness, I found it hard to look for the little things that have made me smile. But when such tragic events happen, it’s even more important to look for the good that is happening around us.

Read

I seem to have read alot of menus the past fortnight. From the amazing menu at The Alchemist which is literally full of delightful cocktails. To being faced with 3 menus at Gusto in Knutsford the other evening.

Watched

My gorgeous girl getting her Star of the Week, for her attitude during SATS. I felt a little emotional sat in the school hall that day, as I would imagine this is her last ever Star of the Week. Plus in a few months I will be sat in the hall for her leaving assembly. In one way I am ready for her next school journey (plus NO MORE school runs), but on the other hand I will be incredibly sad saying goodbye to the school we have been a part of for 11 years.

Made

My son made me the proudest mum on Thursday evening. He achieved his Black Belt in Karate after 6 years of hard work, determination and dedication to the sport. And not only did he get his Black Belt, but he also got the highest score EVER that they have given to a Black Belt in his class. ONE PROUD MUM.

Heard

Lots of wonderful chatter when I attended Blog On last weekend. It was my 3rd time going to the conference, and I love catching up with other bloggers, meeting new ones, and attending the fabulous sessions.

Wore

As little clothes as possible with the heatwave we have just had.

  1. I felt exactly the same as you when my last one left primary school but I haven’t missed it one bit! You (and she) will be fine. Well done to your son on getting his black belt, that’s amazing! So glad you enjoyed Blogon. I am always envious of those who manage to go to these events but I was in Lisbon so can’t complain! xx

    • Interesting that you haven’t missed primary one bit, and I am pretty sure I will be the same come September. Just got to get through all the emotion first. He has worked so incredibly hard for his black belt. Tough choice between Lisbon with girlfriends and Blog On! Maybe Blog On can be moved abroad next year lol x
