This pictures proves that no two children are the same.
My eldest would sit for hours, quietly doing his puzzles and playing with his huge collection of dinosaurs.
He would never throw any food from his highchair. He hated his hands getting messy.
As you can see from this picture, no two children are the same. This is Katie, taken around 7 years ago.
I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when I was faced with this. So I did what any parent would do. I grabbed the camera (there were no iPhones 7 years ago) and I took a picture. And I shall make it into a poster for when she is 18.
Ouch! This looks so familiar – and yet it’s lovely to know that these days are now behind us!
Totally agree Tim. Thankfully at 9 and 13 they no longer tip food on their heads lol x
Lol, why eat from a bowl when you can wear it as a hat instead?! I have a couple of photos of my youngest that are quite similar – it is funny to look back on although the mess isn’t quite so much fun at the time! 🙂
Oh Louise so true when you are a toddler. I literally nipped into the kitchen for 5 seconds and was faced with this carnage. Got to love the little darlings x
Love, love, love it!…and the fact instead of getting stuck into the mess you did what all blogger mummy’s do which is take a photo!
She looks so happy with herself; oh Happy Days!
#SundayPhoto
I literally didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but yes taking a photo seemed the best option. Only wish I was blogging 7 years ago, but then that’s the beauty of Sunday Photo, sharing old and new pictures x
For some reason my girl never did this – thank goodness! I really feel for you – great shot though! x #mysundayphoto
Thank you. Its something my son would never have done as well. She is definitely the ‘higher spirited’ out of my 2 lol x
lol so cute. Got to love toddlers x
She was definitely a toddler who got up to all sorts of mischief lol x
Brilliant 🙂 My boys never made a huge mess when they ate, but my little girl did this… usually with yogurt!
Thankfully the beans on the head incident only happened the once. But yes we also had lots of yoghurt smeared everywhere x
Ha! I love your going to turn it into a poster. I think it’s cute, she did make a tiny little mess though. My brother would always wash his hands when we were little, he didn’t like anything on them. Mom said going to the beach was a challenge for him.
Oh yes she is definitely getting this as a poster when she is 18. Its just the proud look on her face for making so much mess when my back was literally turned for 5 seconds x
I would cry and I’m sure our little lady would do this given half the chance!
Thankfully she only did it the once x
Fabulous picture! Just look at that smile. Definitely one for the 18th. #mysundayphoto
Oh yes lol. She knew exactly what she had done. Little darlings eh x
Well, erm, that escalated quickly! Remind me to show you the picture of my boy eating beetroot soup whilst wearing a white babygrow! The horror 🙂
They are little darlings eh. Ooooo nice beetroot stained white babygrow and child. I can imagine that was a similar sight x
What a brilliant photo! I would definitely have grabbed the camera too, but then it would have been straight for a hair wash!
Oh yes it was straight in the bath after the photo. Though to be fair as she is a red head, the beans blended in quite well lol x
Oh heck, I remember those days.
Thank you for linking up
Thankfully they are well behind us now. Thanks for hosting Darren x
N was the same as your eldest. Food was too important to him, it went straight into his mouth. He’s messier now at nearly 5 – too much fidgeting and distraction going on now.
Oh no hopefully he is not too messy now. Thankfully we are past the messy stage now x
hehehe! That made me chuckle….That is just brilliant! Definitely one to remind her of when she’s older…lol
Oh yes I will Kim. Its getting made into a big poster for when she is 18. She was definitely a high spirited toddler. Its just the look on her face looking all made up with herself lol x
