Teatox from Slimming Solutions

Teatox from Slimming Solutions

I was recently asked to try a Teatox for 14 days. I had heard about Teatoxing in the media, and thought if it was good enough for celebrities its good enough for me. Teatox is basically a detox but blended with tea and claims to ‘cleanse the body and banish the bloat’. There are many brands of Teatox on the market, and I was sent mine from www.slimmingsolutions.com

You receive 2 packs for your 14 day Teatox. The yellow pack is for daytime and you have this every morning, as soon as you can after waking up.… Continue reading

The other day my 12 year old came home from school and told me one of his friends had got ‘facebook’ for his 13th birthday. I presume he received other gifts, other than being allowed on facebook for the first time. My son laughed and said ‘this is something you would do mum, except facebook is just for old people’. I presume the ‘old people’ remark was referring to me, his 41 year old mum. And yes the kids HAVE moved on from facebook, and moved to Snapchat, Instagram and who knows what else is out there. You see that’s the thing with kids, they have to be one step infront of their parents.… Continue reading

Well February went in the blink of an eye as it seems to do every year. I loved doing my 10 reasons why January was awesome post, so I am going to continue this and do one at the end of every month. So here are my 10 reasons why February was awesome…..

1) Hubby and I enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch at the gorgeous Cottons Hotel in Knutsford. The 3 course meal was courtesy of a Twitter competition I won back in December.

2) We enjoyed a day out at Chester Zoo. Even though we only live 20 minutes away, we hadn’t visited for around 4 years.… Continue reading

As regular readers of my blog will know, we love going out for family days out. These include theme parks, the beach, the zoo, waterparks or a simple trip to the park. However back in October we encountered a different day out, a day out which saw us covered in mud, LOTS of mud.

Myself, my best friend and our 4 children went to Manley Mere which is just outside Chester. Now I had been to Manley Mere a few times, and enjoyed a nice leisurely stroll around the lake followed, by a nice cup of coffee. But this time would be different.… Continue reading

Our 'free' Starbucks

Our ‘free’ Starbucks

Amazon Local is currently offering a voucher for either a FREE bakery item or a FREE kid’s hot chocolate when purchasing an Espresso drink at Starbucks. This deal is valid for the next few days until Friday 27th February 2015, and can be used after 2pm. The espresso drinks on offer are lattes, macchiatos, cappuccinos, americano, lattes, flat white or espresso of any size. You can choose a bakery item, or a hot chocolate for the kids.

As I am not one to refuse free cake, I quickly logged onto Amazon Local at the weekend. I downloaded both vouchers, as me and hubby would be purchasing a hot drink each.  … Continue reading

Well that half term seemed to go in a blink of an eye. I think we had a good mixture of ‘doing days’ and ‘chilling days’. Here is what The Williams got up to

Friday – This was the day the kids broke up, and I had a lovely get together with 3 friends. Wine was consumed together with laughter and chatter.

Saturday – Hubby, daughter and I headed to Chester Zoo. The tween stayed behind as he wanted to go to his media course, which my mum took him too. Had a lovely day wandering around the zoo. In the night time hubby cooked a Valentines meal complete with champagne.… Continue reading

At the weekend we decided to go to Chester Zoo. We are only 20 minutes away, but hadn’t been for around 5 years. I booked the tickets online, and for myself, husband and daughter we paid £45.00. Our tickets gave us the option to fast track at the entrance, and they were also valid until April. This is a great idea for eventualities such as sick children or the great British weather letting us down.

Chester Zoo is signposted from the M56, and is only 5 minutes from the motorway. Parking was well organised, and we were quickly through the gate, thanks to our fast track tickets.… Continue reading

Cottons Hotel in Knutsford

Cottons Hotel in Knutsford

Something miraculous happened back in December….. I WON a twitter competition. My prize was a 3 course Sunday lunch for 2, at the gorgeous Cottons Hotel in Knutsford. I had stayed at Cottons back in June for a girlie night away, and loved the hotel. I knew my hubby would love it as much as me, and we decided to book for the 15th February as a late valentines meal.

Cottons Hotel is part of the Shire Hotel chain, and is situated just outside the gorgeous market town of Knutsford. We were booked in at 1pm, and we were seated at a lovely table in the window. … Continue reading

images (11)For my birthday in January my lovely husband surprised me with a night away. He even booked my mum in to have the kids ! So last Friday we headed to the Doubletree Hotel in Chester, 20 minutes from where we live. We had been to the Doubletree twice before to use the spa facilities but never stayed over. First thing I loved about the hotel is warm cookies at check in. How ace is that. We were directed to our room on the ground floor and I was met with this

I must admit I was really sad to say goodbye to January. Now I know most people dislike the first month of the year. Long dark miserable days, an eternity to pay day, and yearning for a large glass of wine if partaking in dry January. Having 50% of The Williams birthdays happening in January, it’s never going to be dull. I thought it would be nice to do a post at the end of each month, to look back at what we did. So here are my 10 reasons why January was awesome.

1) At the stroke of midnight on January 1st I was in an ACTUAL pub, dressed up for New Years Eve, complete with friends and gin.… Continue reading
